When Mt. Gox Bitcoin Creditors Get Repaid Will They Buy Tamadoge?

Mt. Gox, a Bitcoin exchange platform that got hacked eight years back, has proclaimed that it will reimburse its users in due course.

Mt. Gox was one of the prominent exchanges in the world until it got under a crippling hack and got shut down in 2014, losing 850,000 bitcoin that are worth more than $16.8 billion today.

Right after the hack, its users have been into a long, drawn-out legal case to get their payouts. However, the platform’s rehabilitation endeavors were prolonged several times which kept stretching the entire case.

Nobuaki Kobayashi, one of the trustees of Mt. Gox, announced in a recent notice that the former customers would have to make a claim by 15 September in order to get their payouts. The notice added that all the creditors will get a base payment, and they can pick whether they want the rest of the funds later or early as a lump sum payment.

The document further added that the creditors must claim before 15 September, or else it may not be considered.

Mt. Gox identified the suspicious activities in the digital wallets in early Feb 2014 and halted the withdrawals. At the end of February, the company completely suspended the withdrawals and stopped trading, which led Bitcoin to go down the hill by 36% in no time.

This news of the Mt. Gox may shatter Bitcoin again more severely as we are in the bear market, and there are chances that the supply distribution may take the price even down.
